Senior Data Engineer (Scala or Java, Azure Spark streaming, kafka, databricks)
Hands on commercial experience with Spark Streaming, Azure, Kafka and Scala or Java
Experience in many of the following;
- Spark Streaming a MUST
- Scala or Java development in banking environment
- Azure HDInsight
- Data Engineering tech; Spark Streaming, Hive, Kafka, NoSQL DBs, Mongo, HBase
- Data Platforms like Cloudera HDP, Databricks
- Cloud Data Platform development (ideally Azure, also GCP, AWS)
- DevOps culture
- TDD/BDD methodologies, Git
- Data ingestion, data pipelines
