Forward Deployed Engineer (Full Stack)
New York City (hybrid) | $140,000 to $230,000 (DOE) + equity | Permanent, full-time
A venture-backed, AI-native B2B SaaS company is hiring two founding-team Forward Deployed Engineers to own the customer implementation lifecycle end to end. The platform automates the entire business process for high-growth consumer brands, with autonomous, agentic workflows.
Recently funded by a leading consumer VC, with live enterprise customers already on the platform. You will join a flat team, reporting to the founders, where your work shapes the product and customer base from day one.
What you will do
- Own customer implementations end to end: discovery, integration, configuration, testing and go-live for enterprise consumer brands.
- Build tailored demo environments configured to ERP, accounting and retail systems.
- Extend the platform on top of existing integrations to meet unique enterprise requirements.
- Embed with operations teams to map workflows and turn processes into clean configurations.
- Lead customer conversations, translating complex technical detail for non-technical teams.
- 1 to 6 years in customer-facing full-stack or forward-deployed engineering, with hands-on implementation experience. Exceptional near-graduates through to senior FDEs considered.
- Proficient in TypeScript and Next.js: you write and ship code, not just configure tools.
- Comfortable with Supabase/PostgreSQL and full-stack development (React, Next.js). Python a plus.
- Strong product sense, systems-architecture thinking and a bias for rapid prototyping (side projects and a history of building things quickly stand out).
- Early-stage startup (seed to Series B) or founder background, comfortable with ambiguity and end-to-end ownership.
- A clear communicator who can simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical operations teams.
- Based in or willing to relocate to New York City (relocation support available).
- Base salary $140,000 to $210,000, with flexibility to around $230,000 for an exceptional senior hire.
- Founding-stage equity, 0.1% to 0.5% (up to 1% for a very senior hire).
- Hybrid working now, moving to in-person in New York from around September 2026. Relocation support available. Travel is minimal.
- Visa sponsorship considered for the right candidate. H-1B transfers welcome. OPT accepted with at least two years remaining.
