Full Stack Engineer, GraphQL APIs, TypeScript, Node
Based West London, Hybrid working, 1-2 days week on site. Outside IR35. 6 months initial, likely extensions.
We’re looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer who loves building high-quality, scalable systems and isn’t afraid to get deep into both the code and the infrastructure. If GraphQL APIs, TypeScript/Node.js backends and cloud-native deployments make you feel right at home, this is your stage.
What you ll be doing
- Design & build robust, scalable TypeScript/Node.js services and GraphQL APIs that power real-world applications.
- Write code that lasts clean, maintainable, well-tested, and resilient.
- Shape our infrastructure through modern DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Concourse), containerisation, Helm, and Kubernetes deployments.
- Collaborate in Agile teams, driving technical direction, reviewing code, and suggesting smart process improvements.
- Keep our systems secure, observable, and high-performing at scale.
- Mentor and inspire junior engineers, helping to grow a culture of technical excellence.
What you bring to the table
- Proven production experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
- Strong understanding of GraphQL from schema design to integration and evolution.
- Hands-on with testing frameworks like Vitest and Playwright.
- Comfortable with Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in cloud-native architectures and infrastructure-as-code.
- A knack for improving codebases and influencing technical direction.
- Experience mentoring or coaching other developers.
Bonus points for:
- YAML wizardry, Helm chart authoring, or large-scale SaaS/OTT platform experience.
