Data Engineer  to collaborate with data scientists to maintain strict control on data cleaning workflows to power investment decisions.

We operate a distributed team and are offering an opportunity to work remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Head of Data Platform to design and build an efficient and scalable data platform
  • Develop efficient and robust ETL and data management frameworks to collect and deploy large amounts of data
  • Collaborate with the Head of Data Platform, Data Scientists and Investment Professionals
  • Manage and integrate 3rd party APIs to collect data at scale

Requirements

  • 3 years Python/Data Engineering expertise
  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent industry experience).
  • Fluency in Python, SQL, Unix Shell.
  • Experience with TDD, CI/CD
  • Experience in custom ETL design
  • Experience with workflow orchestrators, such as Airflow.
  • Experience working with Big Data/MPP analytics platform.
  • Domain knowledge (investments/finance) is a plus.

Consistent track record in generating sales & profit through new business development. Results-driven and highly self-motivated, able to operate independently. Strategic thinker Confident and articulate with agility to adapt to your audience. Strong Persuasive and Negotiating skills.
