Drupal Developer (Senior /Lead) Developer (DevOps)

Major blue chip client undergoing major digital engineering transformation programme leading CI/CD software engineering standards.    The Drupal Lead Software Engineer (DevOps) will become a vital part of new digital engineering group.

We are looking for an experienced Drupal Developer to join our new digital team and be part of the digital future  You will deliver Drupal DevOps and automation technical expertise, working on a portfolio of digital projects and proofs of concept to drive towards high-velocity digital innovation and exponential growth beyond traditional business models

What will you be doing in the role

  • Develop the DevOps and automation capability for continuous delivery and continuous integration of digital products supporting the business in its B2C transition
  • Support the delivery of complex transformation programmes, determining the optimum platforms and toolsets to achieve business goals
  • Manage multiple project workflows and troubleshoot complex issues with Git
  • Set up and manage dependency management tools such as Maven, NPM etc
  • Establish new lean processes and practices to enable change, along with resource and supplier management
  • Work with multiple sprint teams to allocate non-production environments for top priority agile development projects

Experience:

  • Thorough understanding of Drupal 7 & 8.
  • Well versed with advanced PHP concepts.
  • Strong hold on MySQL.
  • Involved in design decisions.
  • Have worked on advance caching driven solutions.
  • 3rd party integrations understanding is a must.
  • Working experience in multi-team environment is preferred.
  • Understanding of Drupal core APIs and Frameworks,
  • Ability to create advanced custom modules leveraging Forms, nodes, User permission and schema hooks
  • Ability to override the community/core modules features with hooks implementation
  • Ability to override themes templates and understanding of Twig template engine
  • Understanding of OOTB caching concepts/features, Solr Search integrations, Distributions (eg Lightining)
  • Understanding of advance OOPS concepts and MVC patterns
  • Able to write secure code following Drupal coding standards and security guidelines.
  • Ability to setup cron jobs in Drupal, Config management and deployment
  • Basic ability to design API end-points for exposing the CMS content and pulling the content into CMS from other third party application
  • Degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experienced in building B2B, B2C websites
  • At least Five years of experience in programming front end javascript flavours (react, node, ES6+)
  • Knowledge in Content Management Systems like Sitecore, WordPress, Drupal, Product Management Systems like Hybris PIM, CRM tools like SugarCRM.
  • Experience in Docker compose, Docker swarm, Kubernetes along with cloud platforms like Azure and GCP.
  • Hands-on experience in provision tools like terraform, ARM templates , Ansible
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with managing, setting up, and provisioning projects in Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (e.g. Jenkins, CircleCI etc.);
  • Experienced in API development, Microservices Architecture, Service Mesh Architecture, Contention/Priority management.
  • Knowledge on popular TDD Frameworks (Jest, Mocha/Chai/Should.js, Enzyme,)
  • Experience in agile development (SCRUM, Kanban) and implementation of digital platforms and product marketplaces.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in development of DevOps and automation solutions to streamline the development process;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience setting up Git repositories for projects, managing multiple projects’ workflows, and troubleshooting complex issues with Git;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Jira/Confluence;
  • Experience at full lifecycle; from bid to operational life systems
  • Experienced with Web security and encryption
