Senior Test Analyst / Automation Analyst, you will lead testing as part of a development team, to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.

Own the test strategy for your projects and will drive improvements to our testing approach and processes.

Attributes:

  • mid level to experienced tester with a desire to use your experience to implement a continuous improvement approach to a team’s way of working
  • Excellent requirements analysis and static testing skills
  • Strong communication skills – work with Devs, Architects, BAs and PMs
  • Motivated, enthusiastic and eager to voice opinion, self-sufficient, troubleshooter
  • Ability to analyse and apply a pragmatic and context driven approach to any testing
  • Able to identify risks and suggest or implement appropriate mitigation
  • Reporting and Presentation Skills – to peers and project/test management, clients

Experience:

  • 3 amigos sessions and implementing testing solutions to specified acceptance criteria in an agile environment.
  • Implementing automated test solutions
  • Working with a microservices architecture
  • Working with cloud-based solutions and services
  • Thorough understanding of CI / CD pipeline, stages of the path to production, test types at each stage, and test solutions for each type
  • Managing code updates and releases
  • Monitoring services in a cloud environment
  • Mobile first testing approach
  • Exploratory testing
  • API and contract testing
  • Creating test solutions for frontend and backend services
  • Implementing ‘shift left’ practices in a DevOps driven environment
  • Conducting ‘non-functional testing’, performance, security, accessibility, etc,
  • Driving continuous improvement of development and testing processes

  • Automation using languages such as JavaScript, Ruby or Java and a willingness to learn other languages if needed.
  • BDD / TDD and automation frameworks e.g., Cucumber, Selenium, Cypress

  • CI / CD pipeline automation e.g., GitHub actions, GitLab, Jenkins

  • Cross browser and device testing tools e.g., Browser stack, Appium, perfecto
  • Security testing e.g., OWASP Zap, Netsparker, Burp suite
  • Performance e.g., Jmeter, Gatling, K6
  • Accessibility testing e.g., aXe, WAVE
  • Site metrics using Lighthouse
  • Data and analytics e.g., Grafana, Kibana, elastic search
  • Containers using Docker
