Pre-Sales Consultant with track record in the software pre-sales ideally to the retail B2B, Supply Chain or Cloud SAAS Software Markets.
The Presales Consultant will facilitate business and revenue goals by providing consistent, high quality solution technical support and assistance. In addition, you will be providing input into the qualification of prospects and the creation of business strategies to secure the win for the company. You will lead the technical qualification, opportunity assessment, solution design and proposal phases of the sales process.
Develop and deliver written solution proposals and presentations to clients including responses to RFPs/RFIs/RFQs
Develop clients business case for the recommended solution as appropriate
Provide business process and technical leadership and expertise
Develop and deliver written solution proposals and presentations to customers including responses to RFPs/RFIs/RFQs
Analyse requirements and develop customers business case for the recommended solution as appropriate
Develop and architect detailed solutions that solve business problems.
Create and deliver demonstrations, presentations and/or prototypes which map features/benefits of products to specific business and technical needs.
Assist sales in getting answers to questions and resolving technical issues
Serve as liaison between sales and solution delivery
Maintain solid knowledge of software products solutions and capabilities to facilitate sales efforts
Maintain technical, market and industry knowledge specifically as it relates to B2B integration with packaged applications
Communicate on competitive information and provide feedback to product marketing
Excellent customer service, oral and written communications skills
Strong problem solving, presentation and organisational skills
Ability to master a broad range of expertise ranging from understanding the business process to collecting and analysing business and technical requirements
Ability to take direction
Demonstrate a team attitude and a Can do Spirit
Proficient in MS Word and MS Power Point
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field or equivalent years of experience
4+ years of sales experience, especially selling technology and related professional services to regional and global enterprises
4+ years in software development or pre-sales with proven ability to understand and analyse prospects needs and identify, develop and present appropriate B2B solutions
Experience in services model on a global basis that includes: up-front implementation, service level agreements, data centre operations, on-going customer management and change management
Experience developing and presenting clear and concise product briefings
Experience in Cloud based Software as a Service models
Experience in Retail, eCommerce, Supply Chain, PIM / MDM
Experience working in a matrix environment
